An owner decides to transfer a property and accepts an offer from a buyer. That owner is the seller. Sellers set the initial asking price, choose representation, and ultimately decide whether to accept, counter, or reject offers.
Motivations vary—relocation, financial need, estate settlement, or simple readiness to move on. Sellers prepare the property, complete disclosure forms, and negotiate repairs or credits. In strong markets they may receive multiple offers; in weak markets they may wait months and reduce price.
Once under contract, sellers must maintain the property and allow required inspections and appraisals. At closing they sign the deed and receive the net proceeds. A well-advised seller understands market conditions and avoids emotional pricing.
Every transaction needs a seller who is truly ready to let the property go.
