🎭 Organizational Culture

The shared values, beliefs, and norms of an organization.

Organizational Culture

Written values mean little until tested by pressure. Organizational culture is the shared set of assumptions, values, beliefs, and norms that shape how people behave and interpret events inside an enterprise.

Culture shows up in what gets rewarded, how decisions are really made, how failure is treated, and how people speak to one another. It is transmitted through stories, rituals, symbols, and leadership example. Strong cultures provide coherence; toxic cultures drive talent away and distort information.

Culture changes slowly and rarely by announcement alone. Altering incentives, hiring profiles, and leader behavior gradually shifts norms. Diagnosing the current culture honestly is the first step toward any intentional change.
