領導力包括設定方向、協調人員、激勵他人以及創造條件讓其他人發揮作用。領導力存在於各個層級，而不僅僅是高層。領導風格會根據具體情況而改變－危機時期採用指令式領導，發展時期採用輔導式領導，在重視承諾而非速度時採用參與式領導。

品格和能力都至關重要。追隨者更關注領導者的行動，而非言辭。那些著眼於全面培養領導力而非依賴少數英雄人物的組織，能夠建構更深厚的、可持續的卓越績效體系。
