💨 Tốc độ

The ability to move quickly.

Tốc độ

A sprinter covers the ground in fewer, more powerful strides than the rest of the field and reaches the line first. That capacity is speed. In sport it usually means the ability to move the body or an implement quickly through space.

Linear speed dominates track sprints and breakaways. Multidirectional speed matters in court and field sports. Acceleration, maximum velocity, and speed endurance are distinct qualities that require different training emphases. Technique, strength, and neuromuscular efficiency all contribute.

Improving speed is a long-term project of refining mechanics and raising the limits of force production. Small gains at elite level are hard-won. In many sports the fastest athlete does not always win, yet lacking speed places a permanent constraint on tactical options.

Speed creates problems for opponents that no amount of positioning can fully solve.
