Ball weights add mass to a stretcher or hang directly from a parachute. The sensation is a constant downward pull that shifts when the wearer walks. Steel donuts are common. Some people use shot bags or hanging pads when they want quieter, less bruising load.
Weight is measured in ounces or grams, not by how dramatic the photo looks. Ten extra grams can feel like a lot after an hour. Add load in small steps and stand up before you decide the next piece is fine. Sitting can hide strain that walking reveals.
The attachment point must share the load around the scrotum, not pinch a single fold of skin. A stretcher or parachute under the weights does that job. Bare clamps on loose skin tear. After a session, elevate and inspect. Bruising that deepens overnight needs rest, not another set tomorrow.
Loading basics
- Weigh each piece so you know the true total.
- Use a backup clip if a carabiner is the only latch.
- Stop for sharp pain; dull stretch is the usual target.
- Store steel dry to avoid rust on inner faces that touch skin.
