🤝 Affiliate Marketing

A performance-based model where partners earn commission for referred sales.

Affiliate Marketing

A business pays partners for each customer or visitor they send. Affiliate marketing is that performance-based arrangement. The affiliate promotes a product through links, reviews, or content; when a referred user makes a purchase or completes a desired action, the affiliate earns a commission. The advertiser pays only for results.

Networks and tracking software make the system scalable. Affiliates range from large publishers to individual bloggers and social-media creators. Commission structures vary: a percentage of sale, a fixed amount per lead, or tiered rewards for higher volume. Trust and disclosure matter; audiences respond better when the commercial relationship is transparent.

For the advertiser the model reduces upfront risk. For the affiliate it creates an income stream tied directly to promotional effort. The arrangement works best when the product fits the affiliate’s audience and when the tracking and payment systems are reliable. Abuse and low-quality traffic remain ongoing concerns that platforms and advertisers try to police.
