🧴 Personal lubricant

A gel or liquid applied to reduce friction during sexual activity.

Personal lubricant

Personal lubricant is a gel or liquid that cuts friction during sex or toy use. Water-based formulas play nicely with latex condoms and most silicone toys. Silicone-based formulas last longer in water and can damage silicone toys. Oil-based formulas wreck latex.

Bodies make some of their own slip. Often not enough, especially during anal sex, menopause, or long sessions. Adding lube is competence, not an insult to anyone’s arousal.

A little on the toy and a little on the body beats a puddle that soaks the room. Flavored products exist for oral play and can be sticky. If a formula burns, stop and switch. Warming lubes are a gimmick some people hate on contact.

Keep a bottle where you can reach it without a scavenger hunt. Mood is perishable.
