📐 Planogram

A diagram showing where products should be placed on shelves.

Planogram

A diagram specifies exactly which products go on which shelves, how many facings each receives, and in what order they appear. That diagram is a planogram. It turns merchandising strategy into precise instructions for store staff.

Planograms are built from sales data, supplier agreements, and visual standards. They ensure that best-selling items receive adequate space and that new products are introduced consistently across locations. Compliance is checked by photographs or visits. Deviations can cost sales or violate contractual display obligations.

Creating good planograms requires both analytical and spatial skill. The finished diagram becomes the blueprint for how a category will look to the customer. In large chains the planogram is one of the primary tools for executing central merchandising decisions at store level.

Description is blank and the category says robotics. Planogram is really a retail concept about product placement on shelves.

Empty description again. A planogram is a diagram showing where products should go on shelves. Not sure why it's under robotics.
