🩺 Sexual health

A state of physical, emotional, and social well-being related to sexuality.

Sexual health

Sexual health is more than a negative STI panel. It includes function, pleasure, safety, fertility choices, and the freedom to say no. The World Health Organization language on this is dry and still useful: well-being, not merely the absence of disease.

Clinics, vaccines, lube, therapy, and decent education all feed it. So does a legal system that treats assault as assault. A person can have clean labs and a miserable sexual life. A person can live with a chronic infection and, with care, a good one.

Checkups belong on the same list as dental visits. So does the ability to talk about pain without being waved away. If a provider cannot say clitoris, find another provider.
