Hacker is slang for someone who cheats in a game, often by using unauthorised software or exploits to gain an unfair advantage. It is distinct from the broader term "hacker", which can also mean a skilled programmer or cybersecurity expert.

In gaming, hackers may use aimbots, wallhacks, or speed hacks. They are widely criticised and often banned by game developers. The term is also used more loosely to describe anyone who exploits game mechanics or behaves unfairly.
