Holiness is the state of being holy, sacred, or set apart for God. It is separation from sin. It is consecration to God. It is purity of heart. It is righteousness of life. It is love of God. It is love of neighbor. It is the character of God. It is the calling of the believer. It is the fruit of the Spirit. It is the goal of sanctification. It is the beauty of the Lord. It is the glory of the church. It is the joy of the saints. It is the presence of God. It is the power of God. It is the life of God. It is holiness.
Holiness is central to the Bible. God is holy. He is set apart. He is pure. He is righteous. He is just. He is love. He is light. He is truth. He is good. He is perfect. He is glorious. He is majestic. He is awesome. He is holy. His people are called to be holy. Be holy, for I am holy. That is the command. That is the call. That is the standard. That is the goal. Holiness is not optional. It is essential. Without holiness, no one will see the Lord. Without holiness, there is no salvation. Without holiness, there is no heaven. Without holiness, there is no joy. Without holiness, there is no peace. Without holiness, there is no love. Without holiness, there is no life. Holiness is the way. Holiness is the truth. Holiness is the life. Holiness is holiness.
