Roleplay is sex plus a story: stranger at a bar, boss and intern only as fantasy between equals, knights, spies, a first meeting that is not a first meeting. Costumes are optional. A voice change and a sentence can be enough.

The story must stay a story. Real power over someone’s job or grades does not become ethical because it is hot to pretend. Negotiate the plot, the off-ramps, and what names you will not call each other.

Laughter breaks character and can save the scene. So can a safeword when the plot hits a nerve you did not budget for. You can pause, check, and restart. Film acting is not the standard.

If one partner loves props and the other loves only the sentence at the start, you can still meet in the middle with a single borrowed jacket.
