Ejaculation is the expulsion of semen from the penis, usually tied to male orgasm and not identical to it. Orgasm can happen with little fluid. Fluid can leak without a full peak. The pelvic floor and prostate do mechanical work that a person can feel as pulses.
Volume changes with hydration, recency of last climax, and age. Color that turns brown or bloody needs a clinician. Painful ejaculation does too. Pre-ejaculate is a different, smaller emission that can still carry sperm and some infections.
Partners sometimes treat ejaculation as the official end of sex. That custom leaves a lot of bodies unfinished. It also pressures people who last a short time or who climax dry after prostate surgery.
If conception is unwanted, semen belongs in a condom or on skin that was planned, not in a hopeful withdrawal story.
