An STP (stand-to-pee) device is a prosthetic funnel that lets the wearer urinate standing at a urinal or a tree. Some are packers first with a cup and a spout. Others are slim funnels that live in a pocket until needed. A few hardy designs also work for penetration; those are pack-and-play STPs and should be sold as such.
Aim takes practice, often in a shower. A spout that is too short dribbles on shoes. A cup that does not seal at the top leaks backward. Dedicated STP underwear holds the device at the right tilt. Tight fashion briefs rarely do.
Rinse the cup after use. Urine left in a TPE canal smells like exactly that. Silicone STPs wash cleaner. Dry before packing against skin for the rest of the day.
Learning curve
- Practice the angle before you need it in public.
- A slight forward tilt beats shoving the device flat to the body.
- Carry a small bottle of water if you are out all day.
- Replace cloudy, scratched spouts that spray.
