Remote-control vibrators split the motor and the buttons. A fob in a pocket changes intensity while the toy stays in or on the body. Range is usually a room, sometimes a short outdoor stretch if there is little interference.
Fobs get lost in couches. A lanyard or a distinctive color helps. Cheap remotes share frequencies with neighbors’ garage toys in rare, very awkward apartment stories. If the toy jumps a setting by itself, change location before you blame a ghost.
Agree on the rules when another person holds the remote. Consent to surprise buzzes is specific, not implied by the existence of a fob. A physical button on the toy should still power it down if the remote is across a park.
Reliability
- Pair new batteries in the fob before a night out.
- Keep a line of sight in mind for weaker radios.
- Label his-and-hers fobs if you own two similar toys.
- Wipe the fob; it is the part everyone touches with lube fingers.
