A packer is a soft prosthetic worn in underwear to create a bulge. It is not meant to get hard. The best ones move a little, take body heat, and sit in a pouch so they do not rotate into a confusing shape by noon.
Size is a social decision as much as a visual one. A huge packer looks like a huge packer. Many people choose a modest flaccid that matches their frame. Color matching is imperfect and still worth an attempt if the prosthetic might be seen in a locker room.
Materials are silicone or TPE. Silicone lasts and washes. TPE feels squishier and ages. A packing strap or dedicated underwear with a hole keeps the piece from migrating. Do not use a packer for penetration unless it was sold as pack-and-play; you can tear a thin-walled soft packer and that tear cannot be sanitized.
Wear
- Start with short outings to find hot spots.
- Wash sweat off the back of the packer daily.
- Replace peeling surface layers.
- Store out of direct sun.
