A humping pad is a cushion you straddle. The top may carry a ridge, a removable dildo mount, or just a firm pillow shape covered in washable fabric. It turns a bed or a floor into a surface you can grind against without holding a toy at an awkward angle.

Firm foam holds a peak. Soft foam feels nice and flattens in five minutes. Covers should zip off. A pad that cannot be washed will not stay in rotation. Some pads include a hidden pocket for a bullet vibrator under the peak.

Height matters if you have knees to protect. A pad that is too low wrenches the back. People with joint pain often put the pad on a chair instead of the floor. That works if the chair cannot tip.

Setup

• Place a towel over the cover if you expect a lot of lube.
• A nonslip layer under the pad stops it migrating across hardwood.
• Remove batteries from any hidden vibrator before storage.
• Air the foam after washing the cover so it does not stay sour.
