📦 Deliverable

A final output produced as a result of a design project.

Deliverable

Every design project ends with deliverables: the files and assets handed over to the client or team. A logo in various formats. A website's source files. A brand guide. A set of social media templates. The deliverable is the tangible result of the work, and it is usually defined in the contract or brief before the project begins. Knowing what will be delivered helps both sides avoid surprises.

Deliverables vary by project. A print project might include press-ready PDFs and packaged fonts. A digital project might include design files, exported assets, and documentation for developers. A branding project might include logo files, color specifications, typography rules, and usage guidelines. Some clients want editable source files. Others only need final exports. The scope should be clear. Designers often specify how many revision rounds are included and what counts as a final file.

Common deliverables

Good deliverables are organized, labeled, and easy for the next person to use. A folder of files named final_final_v3 helps no one.
