Toy cleaner is a spray or foam sold to sanitize non-porous sex toys between soap-and-water washes or when a sink is not handy. Most formulas are alcohol or mild antibacterial blends. They are an aid, not a magic spell that excuses a slimy toy going back in a drawer.
Porous TPE and cyberskin do not become non-porous because you sprayed them. Those materials still need soap, water, and a condom if you share them. Cleaner can dry out some TPE. Read the label.
Spray, wait the contact time the bottle states, wipe. Immediate wipe is just wetting the toy with perfume. Keep the liquid out of charge ports. A dedicated cleaner is nicer on silicone than a kitchen disinfectant that leaves a film you would not want near mucosa.
Sane hygiene
- Wash first when you can; spray is the backup.
- Do not mix cleaners into a science project.
- Rinse if the formula is not labeled leave-on safe for insertables.
- Expired bottles go in the household hazardous pile if the label says so.
